Our master bathroom round up

I was so excited to finally have master bathroom in our new build, it really is making all the difference and my dreams come true. Today I wanted to share all the details with you, from why we did things a certain way and share all the links for our products!

Before we get into it I want to share what was important to us with our master bathroom!

  1. Double sinks – if the bathroom is being shared by a couple this will make your life so much easier and convenient!
  2. Large shower with multiple shower-heads.
  3. Good lighting – appropriate lighting is important to create a relaxing and functional master bathroom. It was important to me that it feels fresh and bright.
  4. Glass Doors on shower – Makes for a cleaner modern look and makes clean up so much easier!

Honestly, I didn’t have high demands other than that. I knew I wanted gold fixtures and a bright modern aesthetic. Ok lets get into the details!

Tiles

When first planning our bathroom I went to town on Pinterest. I had so many beautiful luxurious bathrooms pinned, but at last it came down to cost. We got our tile at a very good price and I liked it so we went with it. It looks fresh and clean and not too busy! We got ours from Home Depot. Unfortunately the exact tiles are out of stock, however I found similar ones here!

Shower base

Our Shower base we also got at a very good price from our brother and sister in law who were also building at the time and had changed their mind on it. So we decided to take it. The only thing I don’t love is the anti slip texture, if we were to get another I would just get a smooth one. That being said it really comes down to preference! Ive found a similar one for you here!

Doors

Our glass doors were from Home Depot as well. It was important to me that it was a swing door and not a sliding one. Additionally I didn’t want to much hardware on it and preferred the “frameless” look. The one we bought did come with glass corner shelves that we didn’t end up needing or wanted so now we have two little nubs that stick out from the glass door, but it isn’t very noticeable and I preferred that over the shelves. You can find our exact door here.

Shower-head/ plumbing

Gold fixtures were what I wanted this time around and I found an affordable shower-head set on Wayfair. I loved how it looked installed, however after using it several months now I’ve noticed hard water stains that I can’t seem to polish. Even so I still like the overall look and am happy with our purchase.

Master Bathroom Vanity

My dream vanity was a white oak vanity, however price wise that just wasn’t in the books! I found the one we have now on Facebook Marketplace. I fell in love with it and the price was right too. Bringing it into our bathroom I loved it even more, it was the perfect piece for that room. The only thing I wish it had is more storage, but other then that we love it!

Faucets

I fell in love with these faucets from AliExpress. They did not disappoint!

Master Bathroom Mirrors

Our mirror were very affordable at Ikea! They definitely make a statement and I would get them again!

Master Bathroom Lights

For vanity lighting I found these very affordable pendants on amazon! I love the look and for the price there really isn’t anything that can go wrong. However something to keep in mind is that glass pendants are more up keep when it comes to cleaning! Dust shows quicker and sometimes its hard to keep up with, other then that I can’t recommend them enough. You can find them here!

Master Bathroom Toilet

Our trusty throne is a European toilet. We like the sleek design and that the toilet sink is actually installed behind the wall also allowing the toilet to be a hanging toilet. It looks clean and modern and makes cleaning so easy!

Towel and toilette paper holders

Last but not least our “holders” were also purchased off amazon and I love the look of them in our bathroom. I would definitely buy them again! You can find the toilet paper holder here, and you can find the matching towel holder here.

What still needs to be done?

  • One of the things on our list is still the towel hooks that will be attached to the bare wall across the vanity.
  • Baseboards, because this is sadly the last thing on our list! haha
  • Cute baskets for our vanity. Like I mentioned I wish I had more storage and I think this will solve the problem! I just have to find the right ones!

That is all for our bathroom roundup, I hope you enjoyed this post!
