2023 Christmas Trends

Neutral Christmas tree

Well friends, Christmas is right around the corner as I am writing this on December first. My blog has been a bit quieter this summer as I decided to take a break from social media and the blog as well.

Now that my instagram feed is overflowing with Christmas content and as the nights are getting darker and quieter the creator in me feels the urge to create once again, and so I wanted to compile a little list of my favourite Christmas trends I am seeing this year. I hope you enjoy!

Colours

Last years neutral theme isn’t going anywhere this year yet. Even more so it slowly moved into richer neutrals like browns, beiges, muted green and burgundy and greys are to be seen in these years Christmas trends. The decor has a very rich and organic feel this year.

Trees

Let’s have a moment for the viral Home Depot tree that almost every home interior influencer got this year. We have a perfectly fine tree and don’t necessarily feel like we need to jump on every new thing however that tree sure looks spectacular! Twinkly lights on trees are huge this year and rightly so. They bring so much magic! Other than that we are seeing lots of bows, warm neutral ornaments, also organic natural ornaments made from paper, rattan, wicker etc.

Bows

Bows are so trendy this year and are seen EVERYWHERE! On trees, garlands, wall sconces, you name it! With good reason too! Everything is better if you put a bow on it in my opinion.

Wreaths/Garlands

Greenery on mantles, staircases, doorways and mirrors. So many options with greenery and they make it feel so inviting and festive! It’s easy to add some lights, and ornaments and your have yourself a timeless classic Christmas!

I hope you have fun decorating this year! Don’t forget to enjoy what is actually important even if your decor is simple, that’s ok!

Love,

Ines
