I can’t believe that 2025 is around the corner, time flies! I feel as though I just typed up the 2024 Home Trend post, it was very loved by my readers and so I am recapping the coming 2025 Home interior trends once again!
This post will show the upcoming 2025 home interior trends. Some trends are staying, some are going and some are new!
The home interior world keeps evolving, some trends go, some linger and some might be here for a long time. I always love watching the new trends and home interiors that are designed by top designers, even though I don’t love all of them, or won’t change everything in my home for new trends it’s still enthusiastic to explore, get inspired and have fun with it.

2025 Home Interior Trends:
1. Wall trim
Wall trim of all kinds has been really popular the last year, especially picture frame wall trim has been extremely popular! All for good reason. It is affordable, it’s classic. and adds so much to the space! We have done this trim in our home as well and absolutely love it! You can see our dining room here, and our living room here.
2. Wallpapered ceilings
The thought of wallpapering the ceiling has never crossed my mind however it has been growing in popularity towards the end of 2024 and I predict it will become even more popular in 2025. It might not be for everyone but it can really elevate the space!
3. Less beige
Beige isn’t going anywhere, it’s classic, it beautiful and easy. However it will become less and not be in the spotlight anymore. Bolder, richer colours are more to be seen in cabinetry, furniture and decor. Moody rooms are a vibe and will continue to be seen this year.
4. Detailed countertops
It’s all in the details, especially in the countertop world. For a while white, less then more veining and uniform countertops was a popular choice however it has slightly shifted and now more veining, detailed edges and cut outs are rising in popularity. Even if the details are minimal they are not to be underestimated and can make a big impact!
5. Rich saturated colours
I have touched on this one but want to mention it again that rich saturated colours are to been seen in all designer homes. Not just wall colours but think cabinetry, couches, trims, carpets, lights and the list goes on. I personally love this trend and think that it adds so much character and uniqueness to a space!
6. Natural Materials
Natural materials has been a growing trend and I don’t think it will go anywhere anytime soon. Materials like stone, wood, clay, greenery add so much character and is all environmentally friendly. It’s a win/win and makes a home really feel homey and comfortable while also adding quietly and longevity.
7. Gallery Walls
Gallery walls had their spotlight a few years ago, then they disappeared for a minute and are having their moment again this year. I mean who doesn’t love a good gallery wall?
8. Minimalist and Maximalist
If you are reading about coming trends some will say that minimalism is on the rise and some say the opposite, I say both are. Maximalism is really starting to be embraced, not necessarily meaning having clutter but in things like being more bold in choices like tiles, wall paper, mixing patterns and embracing the extra. At the same time minimalism is also embraced and when it comes down to it, it’s a matter pf preference!
9. Darker Wood
The oak hype is still ongoing but darker woods are more and more seen in kitchen choices, cabinetry and furniture pieces.
10. Cozy Cottage Vibes
The farmhouse trends are fading more into cozy cottage interiors, letting go of ship lap, typical white and black choices and making room for warm, neutral cozy interiors. Materials like stone, warm woods, warmer kitchens and unique or vintage pieces were loved last year and are continuing to be top choices into 2025.
What else do you think will be more seen in 2025? I would love to hear from you!
Just reminder that just because certain design choices are on trend, doesn’t mean you have to love them or renovate your home completely because something might not be in style. Do what you love and feel comfortable in and don’t feel pressured into anything!
