1. Spring refresh planter
Nothing screams spring like flowers and there is no better way to bring in some joy and spring refresh into your home other than flowers. They add instant freshness, smell good and to see something bloom and flourish just gives you instant dopamine boost! There are all kinds of spring planters you can buy or plant yourself. A few ideas are:
- Buy some cut tulips at a grocery store
- Plant spring bulbs like daffodils, amaryllis or paper whites
- Plant a little herb garden in containers
- Buy some flowering jasmine or lavender at your local greenhouse
2. Spring refresh on your front porch
Elevate your curb appealing by adding some accessories to your front door like wreaths, some greenery and a new fresh mat. Once it is warm enough outside try adding some planted flowers and watch your entrance be transformed!
3. Spring refresh in the Kitchen
Out with wreaths and winter decor and in with fresh flower bouquets! A fresh bouquet on the kitchen island or some flowers on your kitchen table can make all the difference. Try using lighter colours for your dish towels, dishes and accessories. Keeping counters clean and uncluttered also helps that spring refresh feeling!
4. Change your throw pillows
Changing out your throw pillow covers from heavy/warm textured covers to lightweight, lighter coloured scheme ones can make your whole room feel different! It’s an easy way to give your living room a spring refresh without much effort.
5. Add more greenery and plants
More plants is never a bad idea! Now you’re thinking, but Inez I don’t have a green thumb. Don’t worry, they don’t need to be alive! Go faux! I even made a post how to make an artificial olive tree yourself. You can read it here! There are so many beautiful plant or stems options that look real and add a lot of life and a calming atmosphere!
6. Do a deep clean and get rid of clutter
There is a reason it is called spring cleaning! Over winter homes are usually closed up creating a build up of dust, allergens and other pollutants. Giving your home a proper deep clean and airing things out can refresh you and reduce your stress making room for a new season! I love Becky’s post where she deep dives on how to spring clean, she also has a free printable checklist. GO read it here!
7. Refresh art
This is a simple way to change your decor and create a new vibe and feeling without much effort! Simply change out your winter art for spring appropriate art! I wrote a post about how to find free art and a guide on how to print it. You can read it here.
8. Add fresh scents
Scents make such a big difference on how a space feels! It makes a huge impact but can be easily missed. Try opening your windows and let fresh air in. Things like essential oils, or candles are such a great way to transform a room and make you feel like you are outside amongst the flowers! (Try some fresh scents like lemon or citrus!)
