20 spring wreath ideas for your front door

In this post I want to show you some of my favourite spring wreath ideas for your front door!

It is time so to get ready for the fast approaching and my absolute favourite season: spring! There is nothing like the feeling of still crisp but warming air, birds chirping, trees and plants waking out of their winter sleep with beautiful blooms.

It is such a beautiful season of the year, and I usually get ready with a few steps. A good deep clean of the house (read my post on how to properly deep clean here), and spring decor! And spring wreaths for your front door is a perfect way to start! I wanted to share a list with my favourite spring wreaths with you guys, to get you excited and inspired for the season!

1.Pussy Willow

This one is nostalgic for me! Growing up in Germany we were surrounded by pussy willows and as kids I loved cutting branches and setting them in a vase. There is something about the softness of the blooms and it being one of the first trees to bloom in the spring. Making a pussy willow wreath is pretty simple and add a beautiful simple and neutral but fitting to the season touch to your front door!

2. Boxwood wreath

A boxwood wreath is another great option. It is a beautiful choice of greenery that is very fitting to spring and brings life to your front door! These can be left on the door well into summer and are pretty versatile.

3. Lambs ear wreath

Another great greenery for a spring wreath! It is soft, muted and the perfect addition to the front door. Consider going faux, this way it will last you forever and can be dressed up and down with florals or bows to make it more festive. There is lots of lambs ear growing around where I live and this year I want to try to make one myself, If it works out I’ll update ya’ll!

A classic spring wreath that will never get old is one made from the beautiful spring flower tulips! A tulip wreath will scream spring and will add a bright and cheerful atmosphere. The beautiful thing with tulips is that you can choose from so many colours. Have fun with it!

5. Tulip basket wreath

If you want to switch things up a bit and going the untraditional route try a basket wreath! This adds charm and character to your front door and can also be switched with different flowers for the season you are currently in.

6. Hoop with olive twigs

My eye caught this cutie hoop! This is the perfect wreath to transition from winter into spring. I would suggest adding a brighter ribbon going into the spring months.

A mixture of eucalyptus, lambs ear and white blooms is a beautiful classic choice. This wreath design also works for several seasons and will always be in style! A winner in my book!

Speaking of classics a good old eucalyptus wreath always does the trick! Eucalyptus really had its moment the past couple of years and was widely popular for all kinds of decorations, for good reason! You can get them faux, like this one, or even try a hand at making them yourself.

Lavender is such a beautiful bloom with its pinkish purple shade. If you have plenty of lavender in your garden consider making a wreath from it. Not only are they so whimsical and stunning but also smell beautifully.

With spring comes easter! One of my favourite holidays for so many reasons. Try this adorable wreath idea fitting to the holiday. I mean is there anything cuter then a birds nest with three little eggs in it?

This wreath gives farmhouse vibes and I am here for it. I love the cotton in this wreath, it makes it unique and adds character while still being neutral and without it being too much.

Even tho I’m not much into yellow this stunning forsythia wreath caught my eye. The stunning forsythia tree is a spring bloomer and so it makes it the perfect blooms to be in your spring wreath. It will definitely make a statement!

20. Babies breath wreath

Last but not least consider a babies breath wreath. Simple yet so classic and stunning plus whimsical at the same time! Babies breath is hugely popular and for good reason. The dainty blooms hold so much beauty and remind me of little fairy flowers. I would love to try making a babies breath myself one day, I’ll keep you posted!
