In this post I want to give you 15 bathroom design ideas for 2025, that will hopefully inspire you for your new home build or home renovations!

Trends and styles are always changing and sometimes it’s hard to know what to pick when it comes to choosing finishes and materials in your new homes or renovations.

That is why I want to show you what is currently trending and what looks are timeless and classic.

The bathroom is one of those rooms that you spend a lot of time in, and also a space that you want to be practical but beautiful at the same time.

Let’s take a look what we have been seeing a lot in the home interior world, what is trending and what top designers are recommending.

1. Earthy Tiles

Earth tiles are very popular in 2024 and also will be much sought after in 2025. They attribute to the modern organic style that is very much trending right now and provide a calm relaxing vibe. Warm beige, brown, creams and even moving into pinks and mauve are very much on trend right now.

2. Bold Colors

Speaking of mauve and pinks I came across this stunning bathroom by Kaitlin Madden that stopped my scroll. This is a good example of using bold colors and it making all the difference. Bold saturated colors like mauve, greens, browns and even blacks are seen more and more and will probably not go anywhere anytime soon.

3. Keep it simple and fresh

That being said, bright clean seamless bathrooms aren’t going anywhere. This bathroom design done by Studio McGee is a classic design that is fresh and simple and just a classic look.

4. Statement Sink

Statement sinks are having their moment in 2025 and I am not mad about it. Etsy is a great place to shop for these! They are pricey but unbelievably dreamy and make such a big statement.

5. Sconce lighting

Sconce lighting is super trendy right now, not just in bathrooms but in bedrooms, kitchen, hallways, you name it. Consider placing sconce lighting in between mirrors instead over top for a modern up to date look.

6. Build in linen closet

Custom build in cabinetry isn’t necessarily inexpensive but it can elevate the space so much. Not only does it make the space look seamless and pretty but it is also very practical and a great spot to store linens and other bathroom essentials.

7. Natural Materials and Elements

Natural elements and materials are trending all over in home design and all for good reason. They are environmentally friendly, better for your health and usually last longer too. Materials like wood, real stone, brass, and bringing plants into your bathrooms too if you have natural light all make for a modern organic bathroom design.

8. Soaker Tub

Free standing soaker tubs are more and more preferred over a built in tub and shower combo. It gives off a more luxurious vibe, is easier to clean and who doesn’t like taking a bath in a free standing tub? If you have the space then go for a free standing tub!

9. Smart Technology

Technology is always advancing, the same goes for smart homes. Heated floors, touch free faucets, sensory lighting and so on is more and more to be seen in new homes and can make a big difference in your bathroom design.

10. Wallpapered Bathrooms

Making the bathroom feel like spa like is very popular these days. This can be achieved with ambiance lighting, a warm color palette, features like a rainfall shower head, steam showers or a free standing tub. Adding touches like plants, candles and essential oils can further enhance the spa-like feel.

12. Tiles To The Ceiling

When tiling your shower then consider going up to the ceiling. It might only be a few extra square feet but will make all the difference and enhance the whole bathroom making it feel modern and up to date.

13. Seamless Designs

Seamless bathrooms are very much loved! Keeping the same flooring throughout the whole bathroom even the shower will add to this design. Consider using glass walls for your shower and keeping the color palette monochrome if you want to achieve this look.

14. Custom Features

2025 is all about doing what your love and adding unique features that are not seen to often but are unique to your style will definitely add character and make the room feel customized and special.

15. Moody Vintage Vibes

Moody vintage is here to stay for a while and in my opinion a classic style. Dark cabinetry, vintage decor, vintage art or vintage lighting will add to this design. It is also always a good idea to mix old with new and make your bathroom feel custom, full of character and cozy!
